Algiers takes its name from the Arabic, “El Djazair”, meaning, “the islands”. The city is built on the slopes of the Sahel Hills where they open out to the Mitidja Plain and overlook the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.
This oriental-coloured capital is full of wonders: the famous Kasbah, at heart of the city, was also given the title of universal heritage site by UNESCO in December 1992. One year later, the city would welcome what has today become one of the largest hotels in the capital: the Hilton Algiers.
Hilton Algiers is ideally located next to the Algiers International Exhibition Centre, just 10 minutes drive from the city centre. It is surrounding by lush gardens, a pine Forest and is located on the seafront with magnificent view of the Bay of Algiers and Mediterranean Sea.
